Review
What gets corrected
Factual errors, misidentifications, inaccurate dates, incorrect titles, broken attributions, material omissions, and misleading framing should be reviewed. Minor spelling or formatting fixes may be corrected without a note when they do not change meaning.
Record
How corrections appear
Material corrections should include a correction note on the article with the date, the issue, and what changed. Clarifications should say what was clarified and why.
Updates
Updated dates
Articles that receive material updates should show an updated date. Updates should not be used to backdate content or imply prior reporting.
